About QuestBoard

The story of a developer, an AI, and a tool built for creators.

Meet the Developer

Hi, I'm Tejeswaar Reddy, a passionate Game Design and Development student at IACG Multimedia College. My journey into creation is fueled by a love for technology and storytelling.

I have hands-on experience with powerful languages like Rust, C++, C, and C#, and I've brought ideas to life by building projects in both Unreal Engine and Unity. QuestBoard is my first full-stack web application—a challenge I took on to build a tool I wished I had.

Why QuestBoard?

While tools like Notion are great general-purpose platforms, they lack the specialized features that game developers and designers need. QuestBoard is built from the ground up for the game creation workflow. It's designed to handle Game Design Documents (GDDs), track world-building details, manage questlines, and keep every creative asset organized in one place—without the noise of a generic tool.

My Journey with AI

With the rapid expansion of AI, it's clear we need to work alongside it. This project is my first step in doing so. I collaborated with AI partners like Google's Gemini to make my development process faster and more efficient. While human expertise is irreplaceable, QuestBoard is a testament to how human creativity and artificial intelligence can come together to build something new. It's my stepping stone to mastering this new way of working.

Upcoming Projects

Meet the Retina Engine

I'm currently building my own 2D game engine, with plans to expand it into a full 3D engine. What makes Retina special is its focus on accessibility. It will feature a Scratch-like visual programming system to make game development effortless for beginners, while also offering the power and flexibility of Lua for complex gameplay logic. The goal is to empower creators to bring their visions to life, faster than ever.

Alpha Stage

Current Status & What's Next

QuestBoard is currently in its alpha phase. This means it's a local-first experience—your data is stored securely on your own device. However, a top priority is to introduce user accounts and cloud synchronization, allowing you to access your projects from anywhere. This feature is under active development and will be integrated very soon, transforming QuestBoard into a fully collaborative platform.

The Future of QuestBoard

Team Collaboration

Enable designers, artists, and writers to work together in a shared space.

Live Calls

Integrate voice and video calls directly within the platform for seamless communication.

Moderation Tools

Allow project leads to manage permissions, oversee progress, and guide the team effectively.

Source Control

Integrate a powerful version control system to track changes and manage document history.

...and much more to come.
